We always say less is more! Our formulas are incredibly concentrated so you only need 2-3 light swipes (or dabs) per underarm for all-day odor protection.
The Primally Pure Vanilla + Citrus Deodorant contains a minimal, mindfully-balanced dose of naturally-mined baking soda (finer grain = less abrasive) to protect from odor and irritation. While baking soda can be abrasive for some skin types, many customers with sensitive skin use this formula with great success. If you have a known baking soda sensitivity, we recommend a patch test or trying our Baking Soda Free Deodorant.
Our commitment to 'actually clean' means setting our own standards: we refuse to formulate with artificial fragrance, aluminum, parabens or other harmful chemicals that disrupt your body's natural balance. Instead, our formulas are mindfully made with a nutrient-rich blend of biocompatible, nourishing ingredients like grass-fed tallow, essential oils and activated charcoal to work with your body, not against it, providing powerful odor defense and holistic wellness without compromise.

"This is the one I keep coming back to. This scent is also my favorite though I've tried others. I find that it does transfer to my clothes, and though it can be removed, it takes effort. I am going to experiment with applying it an hour before getting dressed and see if that helps. But even with the less than ideal transfer, I would still give it 5 stars. "It really works, smells amazing, and it’s clean. What else could you ask for? I’m someone who sweats a lot, so I was a little skeptical at first, but I was actually really pleasantly surprised by how well it works! Just keep in mind that it’s not an antiperspirant, so don’t expect it to stop you from sweating like a regular antiperspirant deodorant would. But as a clean deodorant, I’m really happy with it!"

Hi! Would the essential oils in the deodorant make your skin more sensitive to the sun? Is that something to keep in mind while using it in the summer?: They should not! Everyone's skin is different but overall our customers do not find this to be the case since it is such a small amount. :)
I purchased the Vanilla and Citrus deodorant. It does everything I hoped... however are all the deodorants grainy? The grainy substance in mine rubs my pits raw and irritates them. I was curious if another scent possibly without the grainy ingredients would be best for me or is this a quality issue?: Oh no, we are sorry to hear this! It should not be grainy like that. Tallow is marked as the 3rd ingredient. I’ve never seen beef fat in a natural deodorant before. Is there a vegan option?: While we believe tallow to be incredibly important to skin health, we understand that it may not appeal to everyone and want you to know that we offer a number of skincare products that do not contain tallow and would be considered to be vegan-friendly. At this time we aren't offering a vegan-friendly deodorant, however we've been working on a better solution to this as we've continued to receive feedback from customers. So stay tuned and thank you! Is the deodorant container plastic?: Thanks for reaching out! As it turns out, our deodorant tubes are considered a Level 5 plastic due to the high temperature threshold they carry and they are recyclable through most curbside programs. :) We are constantly brainstorming innovative ways to cut back on waste while still providing the highest quality products to our customers.
