Welcome To Our New Space! (A Photo Tour)
It’s hard to believe that just 6 months ago, I was making products in my kitchen and shipping orders from the room in our house that is now our daughter’s nursery.
Primally Pure had taken over our entire house at that point (all the while I had been daydreaming about new office inspiration). Our living room, kitchen, and guest bedroom were all stuffed with stacks of boxes filled with jars, bottles, coconut oil, and all sorts of containers/ingredients. Our tiny kitchen was nearly impossible to cook or eat in, as I was making product in it almost every waking hour. The master bedroom was the only part of our house that was still ours.
Our baby girl’s due date was less than 2 months away, and I was stressed out to the max as we waited to get the keys to our new office/warehouse space that ended up being ready for us long after what was promised.
When we finally did receive the keys, the next few months were spent installing equipment in the warehouse and flooring, desks, shelving, etc. in the office area. Every morning, I said a little prayer that baby girl would hang in there until her due date. It must have worked, because she arrived 9 days late and everything miraculously came together shortly before her arrival!
Although it wasn’t easy getting things to a place where Primally Pure could continue to operate in my absence during maternity leave, I’m very thankful to have a team of innovative + hard-working gals who have made it possible for me to finally have some work life/home life balance (as much as is possible for a small business owner, anyway).
We recently put some finishing touches on our new space + had photographs taken, and thought it would be fun to share some office inspiration with you guys! We hope you love it as much as we do.
Baby June comes into the office with me most days. Being a working mom is no joke! I often feel like I’m being pulled in too many different directions (something I’m sure ALL moms can relate to).
When I’m focused on work, I feel badly for not giving June 100% of my attention. And when I’m completely focused on her, I feel a sense of guilt towards my team and to our amazing customers.
It’s a tough balancing act at times, but at the end of the day it all works out. I’m so thankful to have a career that gives me the flexibility I need during this season of life!
The PP crew, minus 2 of our newest team members. Love these ladies!
My sister in-law designed the entire space for us. I love all of the details she chose!
One of my favorite things to do is sit at these desks with the team and brainstorm ideas for new products, packaging, etc. It’s amazing how a well-designed space can boost morale and get those creative juices flowing!
Our shipping room has come a LONG way. Back when PP was in our house, we stored products all over the place. Things are much more organized now, thank goodness!
Our new space also has a large warehouse area in the back where we hand-make all of our products and store containers, ingredients, etc.
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Sign up for our newsletter to stay up to date on PP happenings and to be looped in on upcoming events/workshops in our new space!
