Has the white kaolin clay tested to be lead free?

Thanks for reaching out about our ingredients! Our suppliers do test our kaolin clays and cocoa powder for heavy metals. The numbers are extremely low, but there are natural metals occurring in the soils around the world that will impact clay and plants and this is unavoidable. We carefully choose suppliers that do not use unsafe fertilizers or pesticides since these can often carry heavy metals as well. All of our suppliers are rigorously screened for quality, sustainability, organic certification and fair trade practices. We choose to source ingredients only from vendors that meet our rigorous standards.

Is it safe for pregnant women?

Taking extra precautions when it comes to nurturing little lives is of the utmost importance to us. We’ve done extensive research in regards essential oil use during pregnancy + while nursing, and feel confident that all of our products (aside from Fancy Face Serum for which we offer a pregnancy-safe version) do not pose a risk for pregnant/nursing women due to the concentration of oils and recommended usage of the products. Wash pits (and all of your delicate places!) with a mild soap or cleanser that safely cleanses without stripping skin and actually helps to repair skin tissue. Bring your pH levels back into balance and help eliminate odor-causing bacteria with our Everything Spray or apple cider vinegar. Already red and inflamed? Spritz generously on your skin to reduce redness and calm inflammation.
