Q&A

What stone is it made of?

Green Jade is a naturally cooling stone that calms inflammation, minimizes puffiness and strengthens the delicate skin barrier. :)

Can this be used on other parts of the body or is it only intended for the face/neck?

Thanks for reaching out! Our Gua Sha was designed to use on your face & neck area but feel free to use it on other areas where the grooves work! :) XO, Pure Team

I have never used a gua sha tool: what is the difference between your gua sha stone and the biam gua sha tool? I don't know which one to purchase. Thanks!

Hi Laurin, Each stone and shape have unique properties and benefits-here are the differences between our Jade and Bian Gua Sha Stones: Green Jade is a naturally cooling stone that calms inflammation, minimizes puffiness and strengthens the delicate skin barrier. The smaller size of our jade stone is perfect if you're just beginning a Gua Sha routine or if you're traveling. Bian contains 30+ trace minerals, emits infrared rays plus produces negative ions to detoxify/rejuvenate skin. The Bian Stone is our advanced shape with even more sides and angles to enhance results. Whether you choose one tool or alternate between both, starting a regular Gua Sha ritual will create a noticeable shift in your skin health and sense of wellness. We hope this helps :) xo, The Pure Team

Can you please share what the difference in the two stones are? Thank you so much!

Hi Alison, Great question! We consider our original jade Gua Sha Stone to be our beginner stone. For those who are comfortable with their gua sha practice and want to take it to the next level, we suggest trying the Bian Gua Sha. This Gua Sha has additional trace elements and a negative ion charge, as well as more sides to more finely tailor your experience. XO, The Pure Team

At what step in your skincare routine should you incorporate the gua sha stone? First, middle, the end? Also, do you have to use it in combination with oil? Or can your skin be dry and it will still be effective?

Hi Marisa, We'd suggest using the Gua Sha Stone as the last step in your skincare routine after applying your serum and/or moisturizer. You will need to have either a serum or moisturizer on your skin to prevent the "slip" so that your stone can glide across your skin. :) XO, The Pure Team
