How to Use Jade Gua Sha Stone

Always start on the neck to open lymphatic drainage pathways, repeat each step 3-5 times and wiggle the gua sha stone slightly at the end of each step to stimulate flow and release tension. Always work around inflammation or active acne to open pathways of healing to the area. With consistent use, combined with a healthy lifestyle, Facial Gua Sha creates significant and long-term transformation in the skin and overall sense of wellness.

Tool Tips:

  • Divots: Hug bones such as spine, jaw + brow.
  • Smooth edge: Sweep across larger areas of the neck and face.
  • Ridges: Create light friction movements across signs of aging like fine lines and discoloration.

Technique Tips:

  • Prep: Apply Serum/Cream for proper slip and to infuse superfood ingredients even more deeply.
  • Pressure: Always keep pressure super light for lymphatic drainage or medium/firm on areas of tension such as jaw or back of neck.
  • Pull (not push): Use a 15-degree angle (about a finger’s width between skin + stone) and support with opposite hand.
  • Practice: Benefits build over time so be sure to commit to a daily routine. Even if you’re short on time, focus on the neck to promote lymphatic flow in the face.

The best, last step to skincare! 💫

"I’ve never done guasha before, but this has been an incredible introduction to it! 💫 Love how many features it has, all the different movements you can make, and its overall exceptional quality. While I’m just starting out in using it, I am excited to see how it supports my skincare routine. Particularly when it comes to anti-inflammation and lymphatic drainage!"

Helps Sculpt and Relieve Tension

"I’m really happy with this Jade Gua Sha Stone. It feels high quality, smooth, and durable, and the color is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been using it regularly and have noticed it helps sculpt my face while also releasing tension, especially between my brows where I tend to hold stress. It feels soothing and relaxing to use, and it has become a great part of my self-care routine. Highly recommend!"

Lovely

"I previously had a rose quartz gua sha, from elsewhere, that I never felt compelled to pick up and use. I couldn’t get a good grip on it either. This is Jade one is absolutely lovely. I find myself wanting to pick it up. The ridged edge is a beneficial addition."

Q&A

What stone is it made of?
Green Jade is a naturally cooling stone that calms inflammation, minimizes puffiness and strengthens the delicate skin barrier. :)
Can this be used on other parts of the body or is it only intended for the face/neck?
Thanks for reaching out! Our Gua Sha was designed to use on your face & neck area but feel free to use it on other areas where the grooves work! :) XO, Pure Team
I have never used a gua sha tool: what is the difference between your gua sha stone and the biam gua sha tool? I don't know which one to purchase. Thanks!
Hi Laurin, Each stone and shape have unique properties and benefits-here are the differences between our Jade and Bian Gua Sha Stones: Green Jade is a naturally cooling stone that calms inflammation, minimizes puffiness and strengthens the delicate skin barrier. The smaller size of our jade stone is perfect if you're just beginning a Gua Sha routine or if you're traveling. Bian contains 30+ trace minerals, emits infrared rays plus produces negative ions to detoxify/rejuvenate skin. The Bian Stone is our advanced shape with even more sides and angles to enhance results. Whether you choose one tool or alternate between both, starting a regular Gua Sha ritual will create a noticeable shift in your skin health and sense of wellness. We hope this helps :) xo, The Pure Team
Can you please share what the difference in the two stones are? Thank you so much!
Hi Alison, Great question! We consider our original jade Gua Sha Stone to be our beginner stone. For those who are comfortable with their gua sha practice and want to take it to the next level, we suggest trying the Bian Gua Sha. This Gua Sha has additional trace elements and a negative ion charge, as well as more sides to more finely tailor your experience. XO, The Pure Team
At what step in your skincare routine should you incorporate the gua sha stone? First, middle, the end? Also, do you have to use it in combination with oil? Or can your skin be dry and it will still be effective?
Hi Marisa, We'd suggest using the Gua Sha Stone as the last step in your skincare routine after applying your serum and/or moisturizer. You will need to have either a serum or moisturizer on your skin to prevent the "slip" so that your stone can glide across your skin. :) XO, The Pure Team
