- Hi! About a week ago I started using the clarifying system/regimin for my acne prone and sensitive skin. In the morning my skin was quite oily from all the toners/serums/balm and so I used this bar in the morning for a cleanse before toning again. The first few days I was so excited because I was already seeing results but now (a week into it) my skin has actually gotten worse, with many small breakouts all over my cheeks/chin , nose, and jawline. Should I not use this bar in the AM? I was using Azelaic acid and clindamycin before and now I think I’m going to need to continue using those if these breakouts continue… :(
- Hi Greta, Switching your entire regimen can be a big adjustment for your skin and it can take time for your skin pH to rebalance with the new oil-based products. To help with the transition you can try cutting down your Cleansing Oil routine to every other night (or less) while your skin continues to transition. You would use the Baby Bar or another gentle cleanser from another clean brand for other cleanses. You can also focus on exfoliating the areas that are experiencing the breakouts, either with a mask or a gentle scrub. If you're still not seeing improvement after a few weeks, then it might be time to reevaluate.
